African Independent Inside, monks had been chanting along with the lectures of high Tibetan lamas for hours. Outside, 300 000 Tibetan pilgrims - many of them nomads - followed the prayers via stadium-size jumbotrons (large-screen televisions) broadcasting the action inside. |
